Storm out there

Blackberry storm, the first ever Blackberry touchscreen device that has been said will "solves the longstanding problem associated with typing on traditional touch-screens". This device is supposed to be strong competitor for Apple's IPhone, combining the power of blackberry device and ease of IPhone TouchScreen together. The Storm, which has been hyped for months, went on sale Friday morning.

Hundreds of people lined up outside some Verizon Wireless stores to buy the new BlackBerry Storm on Friday, but many walked away empty handed, says CNET news. Brenda Raney, a spokeswoman for Verizon Wireless, said that Verizon Wireless has plenty of BlackBerry Storms in its warehouses around and that customers who weren't able to get a phone on Friday will be able to order the phone and have it delivered to their homes within four to five days.

In the primary reviews, Engadget also loved this little genius saying, "The phone is easily the Prettiest by RIM to date."

Quite bulky in appearance, Blackberry Storm is designed for Holsters, slim enough (0.55 inch) to be pocketed in jeans, this device sports 3.5 inch bright, high resolution (480 x 360) and neat screen, providing typical Blackberry look. Jogwheel support is kept intact, as a standard blackberry feature, along with Touchscreen. MicroUSB port is provided for external connections and 3.5mm jack for audio.
Java based Browser application is powering the internet browsing style for Storm.

TouchScreen Typing feature is carefully designed to avoid crumbling of the letters and speedy typing as compare to other TouchScreen phones, perfectly RIM way to do it!!!

with EV-DO Rev. A, Quad-Band GSM, Europe Friendly HSPA, GPS, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP this device finally ended the quest for TouchScreen Communication Portal for corporates, but absence of WiFi is noticable.
